Originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, Spencer moved around as child from Indiana to North Carolina and all over Florida. After graduating high school, Spencer joined the United States Army, serving at Fort Knox, Fort Jackson, Fort Bliss, Hanau & Heidelberg Germany. While in the military Spencer was a vocalist and MC for the U.S. Army Band & Chorus in Europe, and he expanded his musical talents to performing in nightclubs all over Europe as a DJ and MC. He attended University of Maryland majoring in Music, as well.
After returning from Europe, Spencer started his radio career in 2003 at WXKB-FM in Fort Myers, FL as a Promotions Assistant, and after just two weeks was hired to host the night show and DJ live from local nightclubs as the station’s mix show DJ.
Spencer moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 2005 as the Night Host at WNHT. During his 10 year tenure at WNHT Spencer was the Program Director and hosted the morning show and afternoons.
Spencer arrived to Lexington in November 2015 as the Program Director for WLTO and can be heard weekdays from 3pm-7pm on Hot 102
Spencer has emerged as one of the top Rhythmic CHR Programmers in the country. His passion for radio has earned him nominations for National Program Director of the year in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, and being named 2010’s National Street Information Network’s Radio Excellence Program Director of the year.
Spencer has a proven track record of providing great entertainment everywhere he goes. He has a huge following of fans and is successful in helping local business grow.
